membership

The Membership to Diamonds Standards Organization is open to all professionals and companies from the diamonds, precious gemstones, jewellery, and watches sectors.


The Members are required to comply with the DSO Professional Code of Practice and source diamonds and gemstones only from known licensed/certified suppliers in compliance with international trade regulations and with Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.


All DSO Members qualify for the DSO Certified Ethical Trader (CET) Certificate. The CET Certificate enables Members to assign Certificates of Ethical Compliance (CEC) to their product.


The certifications are designed to safeguard professionals and consumers on the conformity of their jewellery, diamonds and gemstones purchases.

Diamonds Standards Organization extends membership to representatives from the sector with a highly ethical profile. 


Diamonds exchanges and bourses, NGOs and associations, buying groups, producers and chambers of commerce are equally represented to promote compliance to industry regulations.


Diamonds Standards Organization is a registered civil society on United Nations (UN) Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) registry.

DSO MEMBER - $12,000.00 PER ANNUM

DSO Members (including retailers, wholesalers, dealers, cutters, manufacturers, gemologists, asset managers and institutional investors) must comply with DSO Professional Code of Practice and they must operate in adherence with international trade regulations at all times.

DSO CERTIFIED ETHICAL TRADER (CET) - $,8000.00 PER ANNUM

DSO Members may apply  to DSO Certified Ethical Traders program.  They must comply with DSO Professional Code of Practice and they must operate in adherence with international trade regulations.


DSO Certified Ethical Traders may assign Certificates of Ethical Compliance (CEC) to products that meet the parameters set in the DSO Ethical Product Parameters.  In the practice of issuing a CEC Product Certificate, the Certified Ethical Trader must act in bona fide and ensure beyond any reasonable doubt and through all available means that the product meets the DSO Ethical Product Parameters.
