All the Members of Diamonds Standards Organization must comply with the international trade regulations and ethical sourcing standards.

This certificate is assigned to licensed jewellers, dealers, cutters, manufacturers and gemologists that comply with ethical sourcing.

DSO Members deal exclusively in diamonds that are natural, sourced from a known licensed/certified supplier in compliance with international trade regulations and that derived from a rough diamond that complies with Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

CERTIFIED ETHICAL TRADER

This certificate is assigned to Members who are licensed jewellers, dealers, cutters, manufacturers and gemologists that comply with ethical sourcing, that deal exclusively in polished diamonds that are natural, sourced from a known licensed/certified supplier in compliance with international trade regulations and that derived from a rough diamond that complies with Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

A DSO Certified Ethical Trader can issue Product Certificates to a natural diamond in order to reassure customers on the ethical compliance of the diamond and that it was sourced in full respect of international trade regulations.

Diamonds Standards Organization extends membership to representatives from the sector with a highly ethical profile. Diamonds exchanges and bourses, NGOs and associations, buying groups, producers and chambers of commerce are equally represented to promote compliance to industry regulations.

Diamonds Standards Organization is endorsed by Geneva Diamond Exchange and it is a registered civil society on United Nations (UN) Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) registry.
